Laser Liposuction Before and After

Liposuction is often said to be the helping hand to people like me. Liposuction is a fat removal surgery that sucks out fat from areas you cannot shape no matter how hard you try. It can be done on the belly, cheeks, chin, upper arms, thighs, legs, and for some people strange places like ankles. It is a simple procedure in which the surgeon takes a surgical instrument called a cannula, which looks like a tube, inserts it under your skin and break the fat with it. Once the fat is broken it is suctioned out of your body.

Laser Liposuction Surgery Gives Maximum Results At Minimum Risk

I have always maintained healthy eating habits and a good fitness regimen. Due to these habits, I am usually in my ideal weight range and do not face any major health risks. However, from my early childhood, I have had fat accumulated around my belly area which I cannot seem to lose no matter how hard I crunch or do any other abs exercise. Due to this even though the rest of me is in good shape I am unable to wear so many things that my heart so desires.

One of the most important things to understand is the before and after stage of liposuction. These things will ensure you do not have any misunderstandings about what you will get from this procedure.

  1. Weight – This is one of the most important points to understand. This is not a weight loss surgery. Though the surgeon will remove fat from your body and due to that you will see temporary weight loss. If you do not live a better lifestyle at maintaining that the fat may not return to exactly those areas but it can return to any remaining fat cells or adjoining areas.

So if you are a certain weight before the surgery, you may lose that weight, however, after the surgery, you will have to continue to take care of not gaining it back.

  1. Cellulite – like weight this is not a cellulite removal surgery also. Cellulite is the layer between the skin and the fat, so if you have bumpiness before the surgery, you may find that it still stays the same after surgery. There may also be a case of excessive skin remaining after the surgery if it does not shrink to the new size. For these other procedures like tummy tuck, arm lift, etc. are available.

Some things that you should take care of before the surgery:

  1. Stop taking some medications like blood thinners and anti-inflammatory pills Consult with your physician regarding any medication you are on and from when you should stop before the surgery.
  2. If you are a smoker, then quit smoking at least a month before the surgery.
  3. Make arrangements for a week after the surgery, complete any important tasks that need to be taken care off as you may need a week’s time to rest and recover.
  4. Doctors advise not to shave the area to be operated on a few days before surgery. This is done to avoid any ingrowth of hair in that area.
  5. Make arrangements for the day of the surgery, have comfortable clothing, a relative or friend who can drive you to and back from the hospital, and also ample supplies at home for after the surgery.

Some things to take care after the surgery:

  1. Make sure you move around a little a few hours after the surgery. Being completely inactive increases the risk of blood clots.
  2. Take care of the dressing s advised by the doctor. While showering also it is best to clean that area with a wet towel.
  3. Avoid being in standing water especially in public areas like pools, baths etc.

With these few things in mind, you can see that liposuction is actually an easy solution for stubborn fat and will enable you to look the way you have always wanted to
